Cannes– Malaysia’s Animasia Studio has successfully licensed its animated series, ABC Monsters (26×22’) to NCircle Entertainment, a Texas-based company that specialises in the sales, marketing and distribution of quality pre-school and family entertainment contents into major retailers in North America.
Most recently in August, NCircle has released ABC Monsters Volume 1 DVD to major retailers throughout North America such as Walmart, Target, Toys’ R Us and more. Additionally, NCircle has planned to release the title across a digital platform via Hulu.
“We are excited to be expanding our catalogue of quality family programming with ABC Monsters, which appeal to our core audiences,” said Mary Flynn, NCircle’s Vice President of Sales, Content and Acquisitions. She added, “ABC Monsters is a terrific new series for little ones that presents early learning concepts in a fun and engaging way. Parents and kids have some great entertainment coming their way with this release!”
Genius Brands International (GBI), a global content and brand management company dedicated to providing entertaining and enriching ‘content with a purpose’ for its audiences, has acquired ABC Monsters from NCircle to be broadcasted on its new Kid Genius channel, debuting on Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand service this fall.
The animation series that was funded and supported by the Malaysian government was a Top 30 Most Viewed Kids Programming at MIP Junior in 2007. Since then, it has been distributed to various European and Asian markets and signed multiple regional distribution deals.
