Singapore – Dialogic Inc., the Network Fuel company, announced that its IMG 2020 Integrated Media Gateway is now compliant with key contact centre solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication software and services.
The IMG 2020 enables interworking across IP and legacy network boundaries, providing businesses the flexibility to transform media and ensure reliable voice, fax and multimedia sessions for mobile and cloud-based applications. Avaya customers in retail, wholesale, enhanced service VoIP and contact centre deployments will be able to leverage the any-to-any signaling and other gateway features in the IMG 2020 for interoperability between platforms.
Dialogic’s IMG 2020 is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura® Experience Portal 7.0, Avaya Aura® Communication Manager6.3 and Avaya Aura® Session Manager 6.3 as an integrated media gateway providing TDM-to-SIP functionality with Avaya’s multichannel contact and portal services.
Dialogic is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect programme – an initiative to develop market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
“Every business is stronger with strong Technology Partners, and Avaya-compliant companies like Dialogic help us expand the repertoire of services we can offer our customers,” said Eric Rossman, vice president of developer relations at Avaya. “Together, the IMG 2020 and Avaya Aura will help provide businesses even more flexibility across networks and channels.”
As an Avaya Technology Partner, Dialogic is also eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify its compatibility with Avaya solutions. With this testing, businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their networks without having to replace their existing infrastructures – speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
“By using standards-based, high-quality products like our now Avaya-compatible IMG 2020 Integrated Media Gateway, service providers can focus on quickly rolling out new subscriber services,” said Jim Machi, vice president of product management and product marketing at Dialogic. “With the ability to do SIP to SIP and SIP to SS7 interworking, as well as media transcoding, the IMG 2020 can handle a host of different needs, thereby quickening the rollout of new services and lowering overall costs of rolling out that service.”
Dialogic’s IMG 2020 provides wireless and wire line service providers with high session density and versatility, allowing them to quickly add new value-added services (VAS) as well as clear migration paths to all-IP networks. The IMG 2020 can handle signalling and media in a single carrier-grade chassis, delivering SIP services into SS7, SIGTRAN, PRI and SIP-I networks.
