The jury of the AIBD TV Awards organised by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) awarded the FRANCE 24 report – “Iran, Awakening Dissident” – the best TV programme in the category “Economic Recession and Impact on Developing Countries”.
The report was filmed by Pascale Bourgaux, special correspondent for FRANCE 24, and offers a new perspective on the impact of the economic crisis on the Iranian middle class which has suffered from embargo for many years.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on August 12, 2013 in Rangoon, Burma, during the 12th ceremony of the AIBD TV Awards.
