Cannes – The search for Asia’s next top English band has begun. The Bandwagon, a regional music-reality television series, will be produced in Singapore, centring around the search for individual band members from all over Asia to form a group that will be marketed and distributed internationally. This winning band will receive an international recording deal with Sire Records and an opportunity to work with its founders – Richard Gottehrer and Seymour Stein – two of the world’s leading music industry veterans. Gottehrer will also serve as resident judge on the show. The winning band’s songs and content will be distributed through record label, The Orchard. The Bandwagon begins production later this year and is backed by a consortium of Singapore companies – Hub Media Group Pte Ltd., Silver Media Group, Media Development Asia and Klass International Pte Ltd.
