London/Amsterdam – Endemol announced a series of changes within its senior creative team including the creation of a new Creative Board. The board will include Marco Bassetti, President of Endemol Group, Tim Hincks, CEO of Endemol UK and David Goldberg, Chairman of Endemol North America, bringing their experience and talent to the centre of the Group’s creative process. The Creative Board’s remit is to oversee and direct the development of global hits within Endemol. As part of this the Board will look to further synchronise and support Endemol’s local creative teams around the world and will play a leading role in all major creative decisions. The changes announced come as Endemol’s Chief Creative Officer Paul Römer steps down to pursue other opportunities after fifteen years at the company. Paul’s achievements during this time include developing the Big Brother format alongside John de Mol and, as Executive Producer, steering it through its launch in the Netherlands in 1999 and thereafter in the USA. In 2002 he became Managing Director of Endemol Netherlands and a key member of the Group’s Global Creative Team before stepping up to become Global Head of Programming in January 2009. He was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Endemol Group later that year. Iris Boelhouwer has been promoted to Managing Director of Creative Operations, responsible for coordinating Endemol’s creative processes and teams around the world. This will include overseeing the creative consultancy and format distribution teams as well as coordinating Global Creative Team meetings, comprising the Group’s creative leaders in key markets. Iris first joined Endemol in1994 and since then has held a number of key roles within the company. This has included Executive Producer and Creative Director at Endemol Netherlands and most recently Executive Director, Creative Support at Endemol Group. The third party format acquisitions team will continue to be managed by Director of Acquisitions, Grant Ross.
