English Premier League giants Manchester United have signed up Hong Kong’s PCCW as their official broadcaster in the southern Chinese city. PCCW said the deal was the first of its type in the territory. Under the partnership, PCCW’s Now TV, the city’s largest pay-TV provider, will be the official broadcaster of the football club’s MUTV channel for the next three years, according to a company statement. Manchester United games will be available on delay on PCCW’s online platform and on its mobile phones, the statement said. PCCW and Manchester United will also jointly develop a promotional microsite, in both Chinese and English, for football fans in Hong Kong. The microsite will allow fans to gain access to tickets and hospitality packages at the Old Trafford stadium during the team’s Premier League and UEFA Champions League home matches.
