Singapore – SingTel and StarHub will be showing the final match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa between Netherlands and Spain in 3D, in conjunction with partners Resorts World Singapore (RWS) and Marina Bay Sands (MBS) respectively. The FIFA World Cup is the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world, and for the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup, the tournament is broadcast using the next-generation technology 3D. The screenings mark a milestone in the broadcasting of sport in Singapore and would place viewers here among the world’s first to catch a FIFA World Cup match in 3D. Over a total of 1200 guests have been invited to the sessions, with SingTel and StarHub facilitating the broadcast at RWS and MBS, respectively.
