Hong Kong – Following the launch of the French-language network on Indonesia’s largest DTH platform in February 2010, TV5MONDE has come to an agreement with French-Indonesian star singer/songwriter Anggun C. Sasmi to publicly endorse the channel and promote it to local audiences. After tremendous success in Indonesia as early as age 9, Anggun left her homeland in 1994 to pursue an international career and settled in Paris, France, where she still lives today. She has released numerous albums in Bahasa Indonesia, and since 1999 she has released 4 French and English albums for a total of 3 million copies sold, making her the most famous Asian artist outside of Asia. She is also a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization since 2009. The French-language network is available on Indovision’s Super Galaxy package on channel 356.
