Singapore – The second edition of Media Fiesta proved to be a hit with the public with more than 100,000 participants taking part, a 30 percent increase over last year’s 75,000 visitors. Hosted by the Media Development Authority (MDA) and organised by Pico Art International Pte Ltd, the event’s brand new format had fun-filled activities spread across four weekends throughout the month of March. It provided Singaporeans the opportunity to enjoy a buffet of Singapore films, past and present; learn new e-publishing tools through informative workshops; participate in an inter-generational game competition; and enjoy an exciting pop concert featuring the best of up-and-coming local talent. In addition to these were some 40 partner events held in the month of March. Supported by 63 partners and sponsors, this was 50 percent more than last year, reflecting growing community and private sector involvement in and support for Media Fiesta.
