London – FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) and broadcaster ABS-CBN announced a number of licensees in the Philippines for the localised version of the Got Talent format, Pilipinas Got Talent. In conjunction with the show, apparel company Emerald Garment Manufacturing Corporation have developed a limited edition range of Pilipinas Got Talent shirts and jackets, available from RRJ boutiques nationwide. As well as stocking this branded merchandise, RRJ Boutiques also have their own promotional license that involves dressing the store with branded Pilipinas Got Talent signage and an ongoing in-store raffle promotion. Every purchase made in the store over a certain price-pointwill entitle the customer to collect a raffle coupon. Raffle prizes include VIP seats to the Grand Finals of the show, taking place in June. The venue will be confirmed shortly. Playkit Philippines Inc. is another key licensee who has signed up to produce a collection of Pilipinas Got Talent novelty toys. The range will include musical instruments such as flutes, maracas, cymbals, tambourines, and guitars plus a series of role-playing costume accessories. These items are in development for an April launch and will be available from major toy stores across the Philippines. The Got Talent format, co-owned by Syco and FremantleMedia, has aired in more than 30 countries. The winner(s) of the first season of Pilipinas Got Talent will win PHP2,000,000.
