Sydney – Turner International Australia announced the appointment of Melissa Fitzgerald as sales director, Australia and New Zealand, based in Turner’s Sydney office. Beginning 6 April 2010, Fitzgerald will oversee the development of the company’s advertising sales strategies for Turner’s core channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang along with its growing portfolio of branded, interactive platforms including www.cartoonnetwork.com.au and www.cartoonnetwork.co.nz. Working closely with existing and potential clients across Australia and New Zealand, Fitzgerald will develop integrated marketing solutions where the power of the Cartoon Network and Boomerang brands can be leveraged across multiple platforms to connect with consumers in a fun and engaging way. Prior to joining Turner, Fitzgerald was the agency sales director at ARN Sydney where she oversaw revenue growth for 11 national radio stations including Mix FM, Classic Hits and The Edge while maintaining a strong market presence with Sydney agencies and key clients. Fitzgerald has also worked with DMG Radio as agency client team manager for Nova 96.9 and Murdoch Magazines.
