Nonthaburi – Nation Broadcasting Corporation Public Company Limited, operator of the Nation Channel, has chosen the Thaicom 5 satellite to broadcast its channel on a free-to-air basis on the Ku-band beam. The contract period is 10 years. One of Nation’s channels currently broadcasts on the DTV satellite dish on Channel 35; NBC is also planning to broadcast another channel in 2010. Presently, THAICOM has 292 television channels with various content from all over Asia, Europe, and Australia on both C and Ku band beams.
