Singapore – ITV Studios Global Entertainment will launch Granada TV on 1 December 2009 on the StarHub pay TV platform. This landmark deal makes Granada TV one of the few channels that is accessible to every pay TV subscriber in Singapore, being available through both StarHub Cable TV and SingTel’s mio TV IPTV. The channel will initially be free to all StarHub TV customers for six months (until 31 May 2010). Thereafter it will be part of a yet-to-be-announced packaging proposition. James Ross, regional director – Asia, ITV Studios Global Entertainment said, “The launch of Granada TV on StarHub is another milestone since its 2008 launch. Granada TV is now available in over a dozen territories with more distribution agreements set to be announced in the coming months.” Shows on Granada TV this month include Prime Suspect, A Christmas Carol, Christmas Lights, The Springer Show, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Rough Diamond and Othello.
