Singapore – Man Shu Sum has been appointed managing director, MediaCorp Raintree Pictures. The media veteran replaces Daniel Yun, who, 12 August 2009, stepped down as MD of Raintree Pictures, after 18 years with MediaCorp. Deputy CEO, TV cluster, Chang Long Jong, has overseen MediaCorp Raintree Pictures in the interim. Man was most recently CEO of Mark Burnett Productions Asia; his 30 years in Asia’s media industry saw him hold senior management positions in the then Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS), MediaWorks Singapore and the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA). Man Shu Sum joins MediaCorp in December and will report to CEO Lucas Chow. “I am honoured and excited to re-join the MediaCorp family. These are exciting times for the local film industry and it is my hope that I can continue to develop the growth of quality made-by-Singapore content for local and global viewers,” said Man.
