Seoul – Korea has the fastest average internet connection speed in the world according to CWA, the largest communications and media union in the US. The average internet connection speed in Korea is 20.4 megabits per second while Japan came in second with 15.8 megabits per second. Third fastest was Sweden with 12.8 megabits. In the US, the average connection speed was 5.1 megabits per second, ranking the country 28th in the world. Korea also had the highest per-capita rate of high-speed internet availability along with Singapore, the Netherlands, Denmark and Taiwan.
