Singapore – BBC Magazines has licensed specialist factual title BBC Knowledge to Singapore publisher Regent Media who will publish the magazine across Asia from September 2009. BBC Knowledge magazine is a full-colour glossy title offering features on science, history and nature. Its content draws on the existing portfolio of quality specialist factual titles produced by BBC Magazines Bristol, including science title Focus, BBC History Magazine and BBC Wildlife Magazine. The editor of BBC Knowledge Asia will be Ben Poon and the publisher is Cecilia Woo. This is the third licence for BBC Knowledge magazine, which is already sold in the USA and Brazil. BBC Knowledge Magazine’s Asia Edition will feature specially selected content from BBC’s extensive database to tailor to audiences in Asia. As a brand, BBC Knowledge is already well-known in the region due the BBC Knowledge TV channel.
