Singapore – CNBC will broadcast the 8th Asia Business Leaders Awards (ABLA) LIVE for the first time. The event will be broadcast from the Capella hotel in Singapore on November 26, 2009 at 8:00pm (SIN/HK), with a same-day delayed broadcast in the U.S and Europe. CNBC pioneered the prestigious ABLA to salute remarkable business leaders for their continuing commitment to excellence in Asia. This event gathers the most influential names in both industry and government under one roof to celebrate vision and the spirit of achievement in business leadership. CNBC anchor, Maria Bartiromo, will be flying in from the U.S to exclusively host the 8th ABLA. Bartiromo is the host of CNBC’s Closing Bell and the host/managing editor of the nationally syndicated Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo. This year’s ABLA will feature, interview segments, live debates and an award presentation. “The 8th ABLA is especially important as it recognizes those leaders who have proven sustainability and continued growth during the global financial crisis,” said Satpal Brainch, president and managing director, CNBC Asia Pacific.
