Singapore – StarHub has started offering the first commercial HSPA+ service on its recently upgraded HSPA+ network and devices provided by Huawei. Branded as MaxMobile Elite, StarHub’s HSPA+ service offers download speeds up to 21Mbps nationwide, providing true mobility and unparalleled performance to customers in internet access on the go. The HSPA+ service is priced at S$118 (US$81) per month. StarHub announced that its mobile pre-paid customers will be able to tune in to four selected StarHub TV channels, namely CTI TV, MNC -The Indonesian Channel, Vannathirai Channel and Zee TV from their 3G mobile phones. This is the first time mobile TV service is made available to Singapore’s mobile pre-paid users. StarHub TV on Mobile brings the exciting world of StarHub’s cable TV entertainment to mobile pre-paid customers anywhere, anytime on their 3G handsets. Said Chan Kin Hung, StarHub’s head of products and services, “Moving forward, we are looking at adding more ethnic language channels to our mobile TV channel line-up to cater to our mobile pre-paid customers from other ethnic groups.” StarHub TV on Mobile channels are available on StarHub’s Gee! portal from any supported 3G mobile devices with a StarHub Mobile pre-paid 3G SIM card.
