Hong Kong – The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) will stage the ninth CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum on June 15 in Singapore at the Four Seasons Hotel. Themed ‘Over the Horizon’, the one day high-powered annual conference will cover important issues including the future for satcoms technology, the latest business models and the road to profitability; how CEOs are coping with today’s financial challenges; the potential businesses of Ka-band satellite systems and satellite services for mobile users. Rob Bednarek, CEO, SES New Skies and Mark Dankberg, chairman & CEO, Viasat will deliver keynote addresses. The opportunities, for both FSS and DTH, are enormous,” said Simon Twiston Davies, CEO of CASBAA. “On top of this, the industry also expects to see new demand emerging from still undeveloped video services such as mobile TV and the further deployment of VSAT networks.”
