London – MTV Networks International (MTVNI) announced the launch of MTV Impact, a new events and experiences division set up and operated by the company’s emerging markets group. Through MTV Impact, MTVNI’s emerging markets group, which spans Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, will work with new and existing partners to deliver on-the-ground events across the region, from initial concept to finished event. Neil Sharma has been appointed to head up MTV Impact, based in London. Sharma, who joins this month as senior director, will be responsible for the overall management of the division, reporting to Bhavneet Singh, managing director and executive vice president, emerging markets, MTVNI. Sharma joins from MTV Networks in New York, where he was senior director, emerging technologies ad sales.
