Mexico City – Auditions for a localized version of TV Azteca’s hit reality show, La Academia Azteca was recently completed in four Malaysian cities and in Singapore, announced Zainir Aminullah, executive director. La Academia Azteca was first broadcast in Malaysia and Indonesia in 2003 and has gained a 53 percent market share in Asia. The series is currently in its seventh season in Malaysia and in its fifth season in Thailand. The format is an interactive reality show looking to unveil the next big musical star from 16 amateur contestants living within La Academia Azteca.
