Mumbai – The fourth season of Indian Idols on SET (Sony Entertainment Television) has crowned a woman as the new Idol. 22 year-old Sourabhee Debbarma from Agartala, in the North East Indian state of Tripura walked away with the title of Idol as well as Rs.10 million, a contract with Sony Television and a car. Indriena Basarah, GM of FremantleMedia Asia said, “We are very proud that India has crowned Debbarma as the country’s first female Indian Idol.”
