London – Producer and distributor Power has recently confirmed a pan-regional deal with NBC Universal (Asia) across 23 territories. Titles included in the deal, which amount to almost 50 hours from Power’s co-production slate are the 13 part action-adventure series Crusoe, which recently aired on NBC in the US and The Day of the Triffids, the epic apocalyptic drama currently filming in the UK for the BBC. The pan regional deal follows the pan regional output deal secured with Fox Middle East in 2008, which includes over 90 mini series and TV movies (around 300 hours). This deal represents the first opportunity for Power to partner with Fox. In addition to Power’s catalogue of completed titles, Fox have picked up all future Power co-productions over the coming three years. George Sakkalli, Power’s VP, Asian sales and distribution, who brokered the deals said, “These are the first in a series of new partnerships we have developed as a foundation to our continued growth in Asia and The Middle East. We are delighted to be working with such far-reaching broadcasters.”
