Los Angeles – Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.’s (MGM) Worldwide Television operation has named Ian Hogg senior vice president and managing director for the Asia-Pacific territory. The announcement was made by Gary Marenzi, co-president, Worldwide Television at MGM. In his new role, Hogg will oversee the distribution of MGM film and television properties on a variety of platforms including pay-TV, basic, free TV and digital media in the Asia- Pacific region. He will also work closely with Marenzi on co-production and business development initiatives for MGM Worldwide Television. Hogg will be based in Sydney. With over 20 years of television production, distribution and digital media experience in the Asia-Pacific territory, Hogg joins MGM after seven years of living in Singapore where he was founder and chief executive of Theatre Red Pte Ltd. (TR) More recently, Hogg has been consulting for one of Australia’s top broadcasters, Prime Media Ltd.
