By expanding beyond television screen onto multiple touch-points, Cartoon Network is truly becoming a lifestyle super-brand,” said Ringo Chan, VP, wireless, interactive content development and distribution, Asia Pacific, Turner International Asia Pacific Ltd. Studio on Demand is a personal entertainment channel on a mobile platform that gives customers two choices: ‘Mobile TV’ which provides 15 HD real-time television channels, ranging from news, entertainment and sports, and ‘Video On Demand’ which provides seven categories of full-length HD content such as music, documentaries, movies and Korean/Taiwanese dramas. The service has a DVD-like user interface, allowing users to pause, rewind, forward or resume play from the last stopped position. The 24-hour Cartoon Network mobile channel will be available to all 1O1O and one2free subscribers in Hong Kong and will be 100 percent commercial free.
