Amsterdam – The Film Content Company Europe (FCCE) has entered the Middle Eastern and North African markets by signing with Showtime Arabia for its Films & Stars and Kids Flix programs. The one year deal airing from January 2009 is comprised of 52 episodes of both shows and will be broadcast in 26 territories – Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Gaza Strip, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, West Bank and Yemen. Films & Stars is currently on air in almost 50 countries. Kids Flix is a new weekly children’s TV program featuring the latest movies, DVD’s and games in a fast-paced format. FCCE is one of Europe’s market leaders in film related content. In a statement, FCCE’s international sales director EMEA, Alan Green said, “We are delighted to announce the expansion of the Films & Stars brand into new markets, and strongly believe the cooperation with Showtime Arabia; being a major broadcaster in the Middle East & Africa, is just the beginning of our developments in the region.”
