Hong Kong – Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) announced that B4U Broadband (India) Private Limited (B4U) has signed a contract to deliver two Hindi television channels, B4U Movies and B4U Music, through AsiaSat’s C-band full transponder MCPC (Multiple Channels per Carrier) platform on AsiaSat 3S. Under the agreement, AsiaSat provides C-band capacity and transmission services to deliver B4U’s television signals to AsiaSat’s Tai Po Earth Station in Hong Kong, for uplinking onto AsiaSat 3S’s full transponder MCPC platform. Aboard television platform AsiaSat 3S, B4U gains access to all cable and pay TV platforms in India, and extends its service to a wider audience across Asia Pacific. “We have decided to move onto AsiaSat 3S to take advantage of its stronger audience penetration in India and across the South Asian communities in the region… AsiaSat’s world-class satellite platform and flexible transmission solutions fully support our new MPEG 4 services on AsiaSat 3S, delivering excellent video quality more cost efficiently,” said Sunil Rohra, CEO of B4U Network.
