Singapore – From January 2009, Jimmy Kim will join Technicolor, Thomson as managing director of Asia Pacific. For the past two years, Kim has been head of distribution and new media, Bloomberg Television Asia Pacific. Prior to that, he spent three years with CNBC Asia Pacific. Shawn Galey, who heads up Bloomberg TV Asia Pacific, could not comment on the news of Kim’s departure, nor on editorial changes rumored at the business news network. Said Kim, “It’s been fantastic 2 years with BTV and wonderful 5 years with Business News Channels including my CNBC days. I am happy to see BTV has been growing and will grow more.”
