Los Angeles – MarVista Entertainment, an independent producer and distributor of family and children’s entertainment programming announced a series of strategic moves to boost its Los Angeles-based headquarters’growth. Included in the expansion is the appointment of former industry consultant and executive producer Robyn Snyder and industry veteran Paul Hazen. Key sales personnel were also promoted. For the sales team, MarVista has promoted Michael Wilson to manager, international sales. Wilson previously served as manager, acquisitions at MarVista. In his new position, Wilson will help manage sales in the Eastern European and Latin American territories. Wilson will report to Vanessa Goglio, the company’s senior vice president, international sales and will be at the company’s AFM suite at the Loews Hotel. MarVista announced the appointment of Snyder as the vice president, production. In this newly created role, Snyder will oversee all the aspects of development and manage production on various television movies and series projects. Snyder’s recent credits include serving as the executive producer on the MarVista-distributed title The Watch and the Gemini-nominated title I Me Wed also for Lifetime in the US. Filling in on the acquisition front, MarVista recently appointed Paul Hazen as the vice president, acquisitions and operations. Hazen served the past 4 years as a producer’s rep at Pierce Law Group, LLP where he was involved in the acquisition, negotiation and placement of over 100 independent feature films with domestic and foreign distributors, sales agents, and buyers.
