Sydney – Granada International Australia, part of ITV Global Entertainment Ltd, has sold a slew of top first-run UK dramas to New Zealand’s national, free-to-air network, Prime Television. In an extensive deal concluded by Augustus Dulgaro, SVP sales Australia, New Zealand and Japan, Prime is set to air brand new series of Agatha Christie’s Marple, new series of UK ratings winner Lewis and new series of the murder mystery series Poirot. Prime has also acquired the award-winning, costume epic Hornblower as well as the new documentary series Inside the World’s Most Powerful, and new episodes of the popular reality strand Homes From Hell. The brand new series of Agatha Christie’s Marple, sees Julia McKenzie make her debut as Britain’s favourite spinster sleuth. Kevin Whately returns as detective Inspector Robbie Lewis in four new episodes of Lewis the drama set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. World-famous fictional detective Hercule Poirot, portrayed by David Suchet returns in this latest collection of stories, while Hornblower is a series of epic, award-winning films based on C.S. Forester’s classic adventure stories. Science series Inside the World’s Most Powerful uses a combination of CGI recreation and personal survivor stories to give an insight into the devastating consequences of some of the world’s most powerful natural forces. New Homes From Hell shows what can go wrong when buying a new home. This factual entertainment programme shows the worst-case scenarios of moving house.
