Hong Kong – STAR announced the appointment of David Radoczy as its chief technology officer. Radoczy, who joins STAR from Nine Network Australia, succeeds Guo Xiao Yong who has decided to leave STAR for personal reasons. Reporting to STAR’s chief operating officer Laureen Ong, Radoczy is scheduled to join STAR in November. Radoczy will be responsible for overseeing STAR’s technical and engineering departments. He will lead the team in its pursuit of offering the highest quality broadcast services as the company continues on its growth trajectory in Asia and beyond. Ong said, “David has had a notable career that has seen him involved in subscription and free-to-air television for over 20 years. He has held various operational and management positions across a range of television disciplines, allowing him to develop a unique set of skills and experience that make him perfectly suited to lead our operations and engineering teams.” Radoczy joins STAR from Nine Network Australia where he has served as network resource manager since 2003. Prior to this, Radoczy held a number of operations positions with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Sydney. Before this, Radoczy spent 13 years with British Sky Broadcasting in London.
