Singapore – DMX Technologies Group Limited (DMX), a leading information technology enabler and digital media solution provider, announced that it has won the largest VOD contract in China from Jiangsu Province CATV (Jiangsu CATV). The VOD contract covers 280,000 subscribers across the entire province; and is an expansion of a VOD system that DMX implemented for Nanjing Broadcasting Group Co., Ltd (Nanjing CATV). Nanjing CATV, DMX’s customer since 2006, was consolidated with 12 other city cable TV operators in Jiangsu Province to form Jiangsu CATV in April 2008. Following the consolidation, Jiangsu CATV became one of the largest cable TV operators in China with 13 million subscribers; of which more than 2 million subscribers have converted from analog to digital. This latest contract win highlights DMX’s increasing success in penetrating both the China’s provincial and city operators planning progressive rollouts to offer interactive TV services. Jiangsu CATV is the fourth province-wide contract that DMX has secured in 2008, after contract wins with Hubei, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia. The new contract to DMX involves the third-stage expansion of the VOD system from the initial 30,000 subscribers for Nanjing City, to cover 280,000 subscribers across Jiangsu Province.
