Singapore Digital announced the extension to its TV2GO digital video broadcasting-handheld (DVB-H) mobile TV trial. The TV2GO trial which commenced June 2007, has been granted a licence extension to the end of November 2008. This next phase of Singapore Digital’s TV2GO DVB-H trial will provide viewers with additional content, plus interactive functionality. Trialists will have the opportunity to road-test interactive chat-room services, experience teletext-to-mobile, as well as interact with real-time financial services. As part of the ongoing TV2GO DVB-H trial, Singapore Digital will be conducting a number of additional user studies and will also incorporate a range of further coverage and technology appraisals. Available to anyone in Singapore with a suitably enabled DVB-H-ready handset, the TV2GO trial will now offer two new mobile TV channels in addition to the news, music and entertainment content already on offer. Details of these new channels will be announced soon.
