ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has renewed its broadcast partnership with FIFA for the exclusive television rights to broadcast the 2010 FIFA World Cup and FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 for the Indian subcontinent. ESS will have the exclusive rights to show over 275 international football games including the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Confederations Cup both to be held for the first time in South Africa. Agreement includes other FIFA World Cup events for men, women, youth, Futsal and Beach Soccer to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan and Nepal.
