Hong Kong – Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (AsiaSat) will play a key role in delivering Eurovision’s live television coverage of the Beijing Olympic Games in high definition (HD) format to the rest of the world. Eurovision has contracted AsiaSat to supply multiple transponders on AsiaSat 2 during the event to be held August 8 – 24. “Eurovision has over 50 years of experience in putting live sports programming exactly where broadcasters and federations want it, in a seamless, reliable and cost-effective way.
