Hong Kong – Sony Pictures Television International’s (SPTI) game show format Power of 10 premiered in Asia with strong numbers for its first two episodes on Sony Entertainment Television (SET) in India. Known locally as 10 Ka Dum, the show premiered on June 6 on SET winning its regular Friday and Saturday night 9 – 10pm timeslot with a peak TVR of 5.4 in all cable and satellite households (excluding South) and a 13.5% share on Friday. Hosted by Indian cinema superstar Salman Khan, the show was the highest rated weekend show on Indian television capturing over 16 million viewers in the first two days of its launch. In addition to India, SPTI also signed an agreement with VTL Marketing in Vietnam who will produce Power of 10 for Ho Chi Minh Television (HTV). The show will be hosted locally by Hong Quang Minh (nicknamed ‘Big Fat’), an award-winning comedy star, writer and director.
