Seoul – Financial news channel Bloomberg Television has partnered with Korea’s Seoul Economic Network (SEN). SEN, a television news unit of The Korea Times’ sister publication Seoul Economic Daily, will add Korean dubbing and subtitles to major Bloomberg programs and carry them on SEN’s Korean cable channel. Bloomberg fare is expected to air sometime in the latter half of 2008. SEN also plans to offer translated Bloomberg programmes on Skylife DTH and IPTV, and via Seoul Economic Daily’s homepage on the Web. Describing Seoul Economic Daily as a top-rated business newspaper in Korea, from which SEN can leverage domestic news-gathering resources, SEN and Seoul Economic Daily president Im Jong-kon said that the partnership with Bloomberg TV, enables SEN to offer more globalized news to Korean viewers.
