Singapore – National Geographic Channel Asia has partnered with DHL to showcase photographer Jeff Hutchens’ exclusive exhibition titled, ‘Be Inspired – Igniting The Special Olympics Spirit’ in Singapore, New Delhi and Shanghai in celebration and support of the Special Olympics. Previously, DHL partnered the Special Olympics to bring the Special Olympics’ ‘Flame of Hope’ torch from Athens across Cairo, London, Washington D.C., Seoul, Tokyo, Sydney as well as 14 cities and provinces including Hong Kong and Macau in China to Shanghai for the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, in October 2007. Held from May 15-30 in Singapore, May 21 – 25 in New Delhi and May 26 – June 1, 2008 in Shanghai, the exhibition features Hutchens’ black-and-white photography coverage of the torch run that led up to the Summer Games to pay tribute to the athletes. In addition, National Geographic Channel will premiere one-hour special, The Making of the 2007 Special Olympics Opening Ceremony, on June 21, 2008, at 7pm (HKG/SGP/MAL) to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Special Olympics grand finale in Shanghai.
