London – Target Entertainment has promoted Helen Howells to the newly created position of global brand director to commercially drive Target’s brands across all platforms and media internationally, with 360-degree rights exploitation strategies for properties across all genres and media. She will work with all of Target’s departments including TV, film, licensing and DVD, as well as with Sarah Walker, Target’s director of marketing and communications, to develop and implement consistent brand messages and marketing strategies for each property and department. Howells will also continue to oversee Target’s licensing and merchandising business working with Shelley Kerridge, head of licensing to manage its portfolio of seven properties including international pre-school show Fifi and the Flowertots. Howells was formerly director of international licensing, and was with US-based 4 Kids Entertainment where she was commercial director, responsible for properties such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
