Cannes – Disney Channel Australia and New Zealand has acquired rights to Beyond Distribution’s children’s title New Macdonald’s Farm to air in July 2008. New Macdonald’s Farm is a 45-episode series for 2-5 year old preschoolers with a focus on music to encourage children to imagine and learn through movement, song and entertainment, and was produced by the team behind Bananas in Pyjamas and Johnson & Friends 2007 also saw Disney Channel Australia and New Zealand acquire Beyond Distribution’s preschool title, Numerjacks (45 x 15’) which aired on Playhouse Disney. Produced in HD, Numerjacks features CGI animated superhero numbers combined with live action sequences targeted at developing math skills in 3-6 year olds. Numerjacks was produced by Open Mind Productions for BBC and currently airs on Cbeebies.
