Seoul – Disney-ABC International Television, the Walt Disney Company’s international TV distribution arm, has inked an inaugural agreement with Korea’s terrestrial kids channel, Educational Broadcasting System (EBS), to air Playhouse Disney animated series for preschoolers. Under the deal, Disney preschool animation shows including Playhouse Disney’s new My Friends Tigger & Pooh will debut on EBS in March 2008, while Little Einsteins, and Handy Manny will be broadcast on a later date. My Friends Tigger & Pooh is a learning-focused CG-animated TV series, featuring A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh characters in original, interactive stories to help preschoolers develop reflective thinking and reasoning skills. Little Einsteins is an interactive series which combines live action and 2D character animation in global adventures to introduce nature, world cultures and the arts to children. Handy Manny is a multicultural series focusing on making things work, especially interpersonal relationships. These 3 series are programs that fulfill the high educational standards that EBS (has) been keeping.”
