Sydney – FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has collared international rights to Satisfaction, a steamy new Australian drama set in an upmarket brothel. Created by Roger Simpson and produced via his new banner Lonehand Productions, the 10 x 1 hour series was commissioned by the Showtime movie network. Satisfaction will premiere on Dec. 5 as one of the opening week attractions on Showcase, Showtime’s new channel dedicated to original US and Australian drama, independent movies and documentaries. Among the US series that will air on Showcase are Dexter, The Riches, The Tudors and Rome. Showtime CEO Peter Rose said, “We are delighted that FremantleMedia Enterprises will be representing this extraordinary new series internationally.” David Ellender,CEO, FME said, “With the demand for distinctive drama always high, Australia has proved, once again, to be at the forefront of creating innovative shows that capture an audience’s imagination.”.
