Mumbai- Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has opened a new TV licensing office in Mumbai and has appointed Leena Lele Dutta as Director of Licensing to head the new Indian office. Reporting to Ross Pollack, Senior Vice President, Distribution, Asia, SPTI, Dutta will be responsible for the licensing of SPTI’s series and features, along with the company’s growing lineup of international productions, to traditional and new media partners in India. She will also support SPTI’s Asian product acquisition efforts by assisting in the ongoing evaluation of investment and distribution of Indian content for SPTI in Asia and worldwide. Dutta joins SPTI from Ten Sports India Limited where she was Associate Vice President, Advertising Sales since 2002. Pollack noted, “The opening of our licensing office in Mumbai is the second one in 2007 (after Seoul, Korea) and further demonstrates our commitment to servicing our clients in the markets in which they operate.”
