London – The Babelgum Online Film Festival, announced at the Venice Film Festival, is calling for submissions. The online festival gives entrants the chance to win €20,000 in each category as well as a share in relevant advertising revenue. Updates include the introduction of a new music video category and the announcement of a new judge, Stefano Martina, Director of ‘Arcipelago’, International Festival of Short Films and New Images (Italy). The contest is open to all professionally produced short and medium format film content including film school students, Spike Lee is to select the final category winners, with the award ceremony scheduled for May 2008. The competition is open for submissions until 15 February 2008 and is free to enter, final terms and conditions now available at www.babelgum.com
