The outdoor ad market will reach US$30.4 billion worldwide by 2010, according to Global Industry Analysts’ Outdoor Advertising: A Global Strategic Business Report. Outdoor ad spending growth through 2010 will be highest in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East and Africa regions, with growth potentials of 12% and 10%, respectively, it says. Indonesia, Thailand and China combined will account for nearly two-thirds of the total outdoor ad spending in Asia by 2010. Billboards are the largest sector of outdoor advertising, and spending is expected to grow by $2.85 billion from 2007 through 2010. Transit advertising is the fastest-growing type of outdoor advertising, and is expected to reach $7.14 billion worldwide by 2010.
