Kuala Lumpur– As a highlight of the MDeC’s Buyer Fly-In Program, Malaysian animation studio Rocket Fish Studios signed Memorandums of Agreement (MoA) with 9 international companies to work jointly on animation productions as part of its initiative to promote Malaysia as a global animation hub. The studio is also providing budding animators with training programs in Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu. Zanymation Associates International (US) and Rocket Fish Studios will collaborate on producing pilots and TV series which could extend to production and distribution of animated films with Malaysian themes. The studio and Archie Entertainment (US) will work on a 26-episode animated series for multiple platforms to celebrate Archie comics’ 65th anniversary. It is also collaborating with brand management company DIC Entertainment (US) in Secret Millionaire’s Club, a direct-to-DVD movie on money management for children.
