Tokyo- J:COM Kanto Co., Ltd. has merged with its subsidiaries., Chofu Cable Inc. and J:COM Setamachi Co., Ltd. on August 1 in a strategic consolidation targeted at improving group competitiveness and management efficiency through integration of back-office operations. J:COM Kanto becomes Japan’s largest cabler with approximately 520,000 subscribing households, 1,890,000 serviceable homes, and will be the main service provider in the Kanto area with plans to broaden its operations. J:COM Kanto is headquartered at Shiba NBF Tower, 1-1-30, Shiba Daimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo, with Yuji Koga as President and Representative Director of the company. Chofu Cable’s service areas of Chofu, Setagaya and Keio-Line in Tokyo, and J:COM Setamachi’s service areas of Setagaya, Komae, Inagi and Machida in Tokyo as well as Kawasaki (Aso, Tama), Yokohama (Aoba), Sagamihara and Odakyu Odawara-Line in Kanagawa prefecture adds to J:COM Kanto’s original service areas. J:COM Kanto continues to serve Itabashi, Kodaira, Higashi-Murayama, Kiyose, Higashi-Kurume and Nishi-Tokyo in Tokyo;
