Los Angeles- In what is claimed to be the first global marketing initiative of its kind, 12 members of the cast of drama series Heroes will travel to eight countries around the world in eight days, beginning August 26 2007. The tour, sponsored by Nissan, ties in with the launch of Heroes season one DVD and HD DVD on August 28, the second season premiere on NBC on September 24, and the debut of the show in multiple international territories. NBC.com will cover the Heroes’ global adventures (NBC.com/Heroesworldtour) with daily postings and exclusive video. In the Asian leg of the tour, cast members Greg Grunberg (Matt), Ali Larter (Niki), Masi Oka (Hiro) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (“Mohinder”) will visit Tokyo (26/8-28/8), Hong Kong (29/8-30/8) and Singapore (31/-2/9) Among the events will be a Heroes premiere at Roppongi Cinemas in Tokyo on August 27 and a fan event at Vivo City in Singapore on August 31. In Hong Kong, STAR TV is sponsoring a Heroes: Save the World Party in conjunction with the world tour to honour local heroes tied into its local CoolChange Green initiative.
