London – NBC Universal has moved one step closer to its proposed ‘international global channels expansion’ with the appointment of Greg Matson as Senior Vice President, Commercial & Network Development, Global Networks, an international division of NBC Universal. Matson will expand his current responsibilities as SVP, Network Development and Distribution to additionally coordinate the commercial operations for Global Networks. Also, he will work closely with the Global Networks country Managing Directors and their local teams to build new businesses and enhance NBC Universal’s commercial relationships in existing territories. Peter Smith, President, NBC Universal International, said, “Greg has been a key architect of our recently announced Global Networks expansion plan. His new role is pivotal to the ongoing global expansion of our international channels, which is a high priority growth initiative for NBC Universal.”
